Without Halo games like Battlefield and Call of Duty would probably wouldn’t be as popular on consoles. First person shooters have always been very popular on PC’s, but Halo was a pioneer on the console side, but what made this game so popular is the multi-player.
You could have up to 16 of your friends playing at the same time by being connected to a router. You can also attribute the online multi-player gaming to Halo. The original had online gaming before XBox Live even existed. You could play through something called XB Connect, which sucked and took for ever to find a game.
Now the anniversary edition is the same game just using a different engine, which puts the game into HD. Now the engine means how the game works, colors and textures. With the new engine everything looks more realistic.
I know that some people don’t like video games, but this game is going to be awesome. If any of you are going to play this then get ready for some long hours of being shot in the face and being T-Bagged by 12 year olds.
Peace and Death From Above
Happy 10 year birthday to Halo!!! Is it really that old. Its amazing to see how far technology has changed this video game and the rest of the industry.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't feel like 10 years have gone by....and in those years I've only played the game once for a brief second. Me and first person shooter games don't go well!
ReplyDeleteHow many hours did I spend playing that game, especially Halo 2. LAN parties were actually some of the best parties of my dating career.
